And now for your neck exercises

Yeah, yeah I know. I have no idea what I was thinking with the camera angles, but at least you've cracked your necks now. Anyway, I digress...how cute are the outfits? Well cute until you look at Jack's ears. LMAO. Bit small hat much?

Should I start waving the white flag now?

Here I was thinking that I'd have at least a few more years up my sleeve before I faced the dredded dressing yourself tantrums - but NO.

Today was day one. She may have won the battle, but she will not win the war.

Then again, when I'm fighting against cuteness like this she may just be the victor.

You're only young once...

...but you can be immature forever.

A friend once bought me this saying on a keyring many years ago because it really sums up my sense of humour. Case in point was last night at work.

I'm sure I've mentioned this gem of a marketing team once before. The marketing team must ONLY consist of males, because no female would be so brazen - unless they had my sense of humour. I swear every time I work in the health and beauty aisle I have a little giggle to myself.

Yes, I'm juvenile - but meh, I think it's funny.

The Baker Boys

Liam decided today that we would bake.
And bake we did.

Ok so the final result didn't look all that fancy, but they tasted great and that's all that matters.

A bit of excitement on a boring day

After having days of little sleep due to Gigi having a case of Spew Machine-itis, Liam decided to spice it up for me today by attempting to break his arm.

After being told repeatedly to stop throwing teddy bears around the hallway, fate stepped in to teach him a lesson. When he ran down the hallway said teddy bear in the middle of the floor caused him to skid and fall backward on to his rear twisting his forearm in a freaky position. Man did he scream.

I had to dump the other kids at my best friends and swap cars with her all the while with Liam screaming everytime he moved.

By the time we got to the hospital he had calmed down enough that he was just kind of whimpering, but still in a fair amount of pain. They gave him some panadol and sent him off for x-rays. While waiting for the x-rays he starts stuffing around, not sitting still, singing, etc. Yeah broken arm my ass. All in all just a sprain, no break.

He's upset that I took the sling off him and he can't wear it to school. Well derrr, considering he was jumping on his bed and running up and down the hallway. Somehow I don't think he was needing it. rolleyes.gif Typical attention seeking male.

The times they are a-changin'

Well at least I hope they are.

The first thing I'd like to change is this damn Gastro or whatever the hell it is that Imogen has. Whenever we think it's all over the spew machine starts again.

Secondly, I'd love a new job. So much so that I had an interview today. So now there is a two week countdown to the call end of the call back period. Fingers crossed it's a new beginning for me as I'm really over working nights.

Thirdly I've started yet another weightloss challenge. This time it's going to be different though. No crazy diets, no withholding food, no stupidity. Just a new way of life - healthier eating, smaller portions and more exercise. Simple and easy.

So to my old mate Maccas - Thanks for the good times, but times are a-changin'.

Way out west where the rain don't fall

We got our own taste of living and working on the land with a trip to Brian's parents place today. As much as I love our suburban life, I get a little wistful visiting up there. Just the quiet way of life and the kids just love being outside. I guess it's all a novelty for them and living it would be different, but sometimes I just wonder what if? It's the simple things that make we wonder. Even just a sight like this was enough to make me pull out the camera.

Imogen had an absolute ball - running through the grass, chasing around a ball, eating sand in the playground, smelling the flowers. And best of all, showing off her new gumboots. Boy she loves her gumboots.

Then there is the beautiful houses in the street. I have been in love with the house next door since the first time I saw it. If it ever came up for sale and big part of me would want to snap it up - the other part of says "What the hell are you thinking, it's next door to your inlaws?"

I think initially the tyre swing hanging from the big tree out the front was what attracted me. It's like seeing all your childhood movies with the perfect families come to life. I just ♥ this place.

Then there is also this gem a few doors down. I love this one too - although it doesn't have a tyre swing.

Live 365 is falling by the wayside

But I'm going to be blogging more, I promise. I really want this 365 thing to work.
So much to do, so little time and I need to get organised.

In light of that, I've been stalking through the Home Organisation stuff on Essential Baby and have started reading over a heap of organisational threads and EB members blogs. I'm feeling really disorganised at the moment. My house is a shambles and I need to get it back under control.

Anyone else interested in organisation tips - check out these great blogs:
Getting Organised!
Clutter Kickers
Finding the calm in the chaos
And my favorite that I have been periodically reading: Super Organiser Mum

So now time to get off the computer and do some cleaning and organising.

Spice Girls are spicing up Mother's Day

Bad enough that I was exposed to it in my youth, but the education department has a lot to answer for in teaching my son a Spice Girls song. Yeah it was cute hearing the kids singing Mama, but my ears were bleeding just from the memory of Posh *cough* singing *cough*.

I will give him brownie points for cuteness though.

Then there is the lovely picture from Jack with a description of why he loves me. "I love my Mum because she keeps me safe. She is the best Mum because she has nice hair and beautiful eyes. I like her dresses with shapes and flowers on them." I bet you were all going "Nawwww ♥♥ " until you read about my dresses eh. Cause I was. Maybe he's got another mother I don't know about because I sure as hell don't have any dresses with flowers and shapes on them.

My husband the wannabe Chef

As much as he is a fantastic cook, sauces are just not his forte - especially when you can buy something like this for less than $2.

And damn it was good. Honestly it tasted like it was from a Chinese restaurant.

Add some home cooked fried rice and Bob's your uncle.

Next time it's the Mongolian Lamb.

I'm slowly going insane

Today was day three with no internet, no home phone and stupid bloody call centers that
1. I can hardly hear as their connection is so shit
Here's a tip - you're a phone company, fix it maybe???
and 2. have employees that speak in heavily accented English that is REALLY hard to understand on a good connection let alone a bad one.
Let me finish my rant with a pic that I "borrowed" courtesy of google images that sums up my feelings...

Bargain!!

Anyone who knows me know's that I am the bargain shopper.
If it's a bargain, I'll buy it - much to Brian's disgust.
But how's this - 2 CD set, Songs for Kids Volume 4 $1.88 from Target.
What a score. But I'm sure I'll live to regret it.

Burning off energy

Well at least that's what I thought they were doing. Then we got home and all three were still running around like no tomorrow.

Spent the afternoon at the park at the entrance to Alamanda Estate.
The kids had an absolute ball and ran around like crazy the whole time we were there.

I'm tired just watching them, but they're still full of beans. Why? Oh why?
