Jackasaurus

We've been calling Jack Jackasaurus for several months now. Since he's such a big boy now and refuses to be called Boof, Boofy or anything similar he needed a new name - so Jackasaurus it was. Today he became Jackasaurus not only by name, but also by nature when he decided that fooling around with a towel was photo worthy.

It says a lot about my computer habits when the first thing Liam said after I took the photo was "Quick Mum, put that one on Facebook".

I'm a big girl now

After putting both the boys into beds at 18 months, we decided never again. Imogen was staying in her cot forever...well forever came today.

Here she is all cute and snuggled up ready to go to sleep. Let's hope it lasts.

Mr Maker

Anyone's kids watch Mr Maker on ABC? Mine do when they're home and they both love it. Liam asked me to look it up on the net for him today and without any more prompting or help from me, did all this by himself.

Disco fever

The kids had a ball tonight at Chelsea's disco party at Wonderland. Not that you can tell by the concentration faces going on - they look more like they are in pain than dancing. LOL

Then I tried to go for the Nawww factor with a pic of the three of them together. When will I learn that this just isn't possible. If it's not one pulling faces, it's another.

Dinner guests

How bloody good does this look? Great eh? Shame it's what the recipe looked like on Taste and not how mine looked LOL. Still tasted great though.

Anyway I had my brother and his other half over for dinner tonight. We always say we have to catch up more often, but we never seem to do. Between his work, my work, his committments, and my kids finding time just to relax and chat is hard. I really need to work on my time management as dinner was great as was the company. Thanks guys xx Oh and a big thanks for fixing my computer too. xx

Home.

Ever been in a position where you know that it's where you are meant to be? Where it feels like everything has clicked into place?

Like home.

That's how I felt not even half way into my shift at work today. I looked around the store, looked at the people I work with and it just felt right.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed my time at Broady. But I walked into Broady knowing nothing and have walked out with the confidence to walk into Werribee and just do my job.

So that's what I'm doing. And I'm loving it. <3

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night

Is it wrong that I was quietly humming this to myself and I did the last long drive home from Broadmeadows tonight? I'm sure you're reading this and thinking "Hell no, not after all that daily driving".

What if I said the reason I was humming it had nothing to do with Broady, but everything to do with the fact that the boys are staying at their grandparents for the next 4 nights?

Hmmm, bad parent much? LOL

Give it to me baby, uh-ha, uh-ha

As a parent we know that we must endeavor not to take the piss out of our children, but really some days, attitudes and outfits just defy belief.

He may not have a clue
And he may not have style
But everything he lacks
Well, he makes up in denial

Life imitates art

Just to add to the amusement that is Broadmeadows, I saw a Simpsons episode in the flesh today. Walking happily away from Krispy Kreme today where two cops - one with a massive box of donuts in his hand. I wonder how many other shoppers had a giggle to themselves as they walked on by.

The calm before the storm

Look at us.
See how cute I am?

Look how cuddly we are?

Don't I look relaxed?

Yeah right! As the title says, it was the calm before the storm and poor Daddy copped it:

When nursery rhymes go bad

Ah yes, my child is obviously going to be a fan of some crazy cross between that screaming death metal crap and opera.

Who needs prams...

...when three kids are easily amused and restrained in a busy car park by a Bunnings Shopping trolley? Never has navigating a car park been easier.
