For those that left us behind

Hope - this is what we have left.
Hope that those passed are now at peace.
Hope that those suffering will suffer no more.
Hope that one day in the not too distant future that no one will ever need to suffer.

Today we participated in Relay for Life.
Please visit the Cancer Council Australia to see how you can be involved in the fight to find a cure.

And another little man arrives

♥x♥xCongratulations to R, D & E on the birth of Lachlan Robert.
Another little Hatter to add to the collection. ♥x♥x

And on a totally different note, I was planning on nerding it up with Jacqui, but being a lazy bitch I decided just to watch and let her do all the work.

An excursion of sorts

Because this week is planning week, the grades all get one day off the school campus. Yesterday was the Preps turn. So off headed Jack to the sports center for a whole day of running around like a psycho. He was so exhausted when he got home.

Being the great parent that I am I took tons of photos of him on his first excursion. Ummm not. Ooops. Totally forgot. I'm sure he'll forgive me.

Let the baby boom begin

A massive baby boom has hit my parents group starting with the birth of the beautiful Miss Charlotte last week. She's just adorable. And tomorrow we have a new little man making his way into the world. Best wishes to R and family of his speedy arrival.

That brings me to today and the arrival of little Elliot William. A massive congratulations to B & E on their new addition. I'm eagerly awaiting photos and can't wait to meet your little Prince. xx

What a great way to spend a Sunday

A day full of friends of pampering. Who could ask for more eh?

I spent most of today with Nicole getting our hair and makeup trials done for her wedding. Nicole looks just absolutely gorgeous. Her hair is going to be brilliant and just matches her dress so well. I'm really happy with how mine turned out. Especially since I have a bit of a paranoia about looking like big body, little head with my hair pulled up.

Then tonight I was out for dinner with Lindsay, Karen & Kylie. Shame Margaretta couldn't make it. It was a great night. Dinner was yummo - as was the Ferraro Rocher ice cream. Mmmmm.

A little organisation going on

My name is Kylee and I am a hoarder. Unfortunately (or fortunately some might say) Brian is not. He is always at me to get rid of stuff. I finally cracked and said "Just do it, but I can't watch".
So, here is our garage this morning (bear in mind he'd already moved a heap of stuff out *blush*):

I didn't get around to taking after efore it got dark. But I did manage to keep some of my "stuff". Just not too much. *sob sob*

Now that I've finished renovating the house, it's time to renovate the blog

So I'm moving, and taking all my posts with me.
It's going to be a gradual process but I'm attempting a Project life blog - so be prepared for some stuff being backdated to Jan 1st 2010.
Hope to see you all over there.

Can you see the steam coming out of my ears?

Apparently plasticine requires MUCH concentration.

Why? Why? Why?

Can someone please tell me why it is that Brian can eat and drink whatever the hell he likes and still not put on weight whereas I just look at food and the kilos pile on.

Even tonight when having home made pizzas for dinner (yeah not overly healthy, but better than fast food on a lazy night), his look like this:

And mine looks like this:

So tell me who is eating better?

Gettin' Clicky wit' it

Went out for dinner tonight with a gorgeous group of "internerd" friends at the very yummy Amigos in Lygon Street, Carlton. Great food, great company. Thanks ladies (and one impeccable young man) xx

After dinner was when all the fun and games started. You would think that getting from Lygon Street to the Casino would be easy right? Right? Ummm no. Not if you're me. Not even if you have a GPS. After driving around in circles trying to navigate the new roads around the casino and running a red light at a major intersection *blush* I managed to deliver my friends. Sorry guys.

The brown eyed green eyed monster

Since Squirt was getting so many photos taken of him, someone was demanding I take photos of her.

Vain much?

When Squirt came to stay

Belinda (Liam's teacher) allowed Squirt to come home with Liam for a visit for a few days. Liam was really excited to have Squirt to play with, as evidenced by these pics:

Squirt cuddled up to Liam to have a sleep.
Squirt helped Liam, Jack & I make cupcakes.
Squirt tried to pinch all the fruit from the platter.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

Now that you're annoyed and singing lyrics from The Sound of Music I just wanted to mention how much I love the sound of rain. It doesn't matter how soft or how heavy it is, it still sounds amazing.

Now off you toddle and keep singing...
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,

RIP little angel

I'm not going to even begin writing how I feel about this case but instead want to give my heartfelt condolances to the family of little Gurshan Singh. May this precious angel rest in peace.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Once in a lullaby
