Aussie Curves : Blissful Boho

This weeks challenge has been an interesting one looking at all the different ways that all the other Aussie Curvettes have interpreted Boho. Now when I think of Boho the first person that springs to mind is Nina Proudman, then secondly Nicole Richie. Both of them manage to look like what their wearing is just casually thrown together but just looks so right.
 So here's my take:

Denim Vest : Thrifted
Singlet Top : K Mart
Skirt : Thrifted
Boots : Thrifted
Necklace : Thrifted
Scarf : Thrifted

Aussie Curves : Flowery Feminine

Soooooooo feminine eh? Far out, I can't even spell the word without spell check going off let alone dress feminine. My friends know me as a jeans and top kinda gal - and that's when I'm out. At home I'll admit that I'm tracky dacks and my moccos all the way.
So yeah, feminine I'm not. But hey, I'll try.

Getting my Susie on : How to make and Pinata and lose your friggin mind

So being the Pinterest-aholic that I am, I am constantly searching through billions of pins looking for ideas for my 40th when I came across this gem. I mean really, how cute do these numbers look? Then the lightbulb moment....OMG these would look so freakin fantastic in fluro colors to match the 80's theme.
Famous last words.

So anyway, I clicked on through the links and followed the really easy to read and understand tutorial over at Oh Happy Day (which I have to mention is a simply amazing blog for any party planners/DIYers out there).  For anyone wanting to make your own, definitely have a look but let this be a warning. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR FRIGGIN MIND. It takes FOREVER and after the first few strips it becomes boring and tedious. Yes, it looks awesome but my advice, buy the damn things. But hey, you wanna try it, click on through right HERE.

Since I like to share, here's some pics of my journey into insanity:

So the 4 still needs a bit of a haircut, but how fabulous does it look?
I do really love how its turned out.
Only thing is, I still need to make the zero now. *cry

Aussie Curves : Sassy Spikes

So spikes really isn't my thing, but I thought since I'm going all out on a limb I may as well try for the rock chic look. Scew it, you only live once yeah? I only had to pick up one child from active after school care so I could get around that by sending Mr 9 in for me. No one would have to see me like this in public right. Right? FAMOUS LAST WORDS.

Aside from a friend visiting and being much less shocked than I anticipated and my husband doing a not very well coveted double take, it really wasn't that bad. I did feel a tad mutton dressed as lamb (I am just about to turn 40), and would never wear something like this out in the general public.
