I'm sure that pretty much everyone has one of those special friendships. You know the ones where you may not talk for weeks or even months but as soon as you catch up it's just like yesterday. The friends that are always there no matter what - for the good and the bad. The friends that withstand the test of time - the ones that will see you right through to your Golden years. Here's one of mine.
And I just wanted to tell her
Thank you for being a friend xx

It's raining men
Wishful thinking, but no. It's just raining. A lot.
And here is the proof. This is the parkland and creek that is a few houses down from me in my estate. Usually there are nice walking tracks and a newish decking bridge. I'm not even sure if the bridge is still standing now. You can see that the track goes right in to the water.

Can he fix it? Yes he can!
Step by step all the little (and not so little) jobs are getting done around the place to get it ready for sale.
So far we've moved around Gigi's bedroom, sanded back the pergola, oiled the deck and pergola, re-mulched the backyard and Brian's repainted the whole hallway.
We still have some painting to go, finish decluttering and tidy the front garden up. Then the main thing will be keeping the house clean and tidy enough for inspections. That's going to be the hard part with the three kids running around.
Fingers crossed it sells quickly.

Look out - Kylee's hitting the town
There is nothing like a night out with great company and good food. Thanks Margs for the suggestion - The College Lawn Hotel had good food (well mine was, sorry yours was average), was reasonably priced, a nice atmosphere and great parking. Win/Win all round. Was great to catch up with all you guys again. I'll have to start thinking about a good location for a Jan/Feb dinner now.
Then because I'm such a social butterfly, I then moved on to catch up with some more friends. My plan of hitting the booze hard went out the window since I'm such a Nanna now, but I did sit up until the early hours of the morning just chatting and relaxing. And to top it off, I slept until 8.30am. Far out - biggest sleep in in ages. Anyway lovely ladies, you know who you are. Thanks for the great night. xx

Look what I found
I was making the most of coffee and donuts with a friend thinking all three kids where watching a dvd in my bedroom only to discover that one child was missing. I knew she was in the house somewhere but I was just a tad alarmed that she was silent.
Then I found this:
To say I was shocked was an understatement. She has never ever put herself to bed before. She slept for two hours as well. Bargain.

I'm in lurrrrve
With a block of land that is. I want it. I dream about it. I picture a gorgeous house on it. Look at the view (excuse the dodgy phone pics though). Why wouldn't I want it?
The first pic is looking directly across the road at parkland. There is a landscaped swampy area with walking tracks, a kids playground and bbq area. The second pic is looking down the street at the big lake across the road. Damn I want this block.

Out of the mouth of babes
Jack comes home and proudly announces to us tonight that today was his turn for show and tell at school. Since he didn't know beforehand, he didn't take anything with him so he decided to tell them a story about his home life (this is where you know it's going to go down hill).
" My mum and my dad where calling me a dufus because they think I am but I'm not. Any questions? Ok thanks."
To which his teacher replied "Jack I don't think you're a dufus. I think you're very smart".
Oh God. Ground open me up and swallow me right now.
